The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down
in green pastures;
He leads me beside
the still waters.
He restores my soul;
Yea, though I walk
through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely
goodness and mercy
shall
follow me
all the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the
house of the Lord forever.

I'm visiting from Scripture & a Snapshot and enjoying the beautiful photos you have to illustrate Psalm 23. Thank-you for sharing.

Wonderful walk through Psalm 23!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the photo of the person standing in the water. Away from her, the water is indeed still but nearer, around her legs, are ripples and bubbles--disturbances in its calm surface. Sounds like life to me--God is perfectly still so close by but wherever there are people, look out!
ReplyDeleteMrsP, that's actually my son. He got quite a laugh from your comment. :-)
ReplyDeleteAmen! I smile because I ALMOST included the entire psalms but changed my mind at the last moment. Your post was lovely lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow, you did an amazing job at placing these pics with just the right verse.
ReplyDeleteWe just read this the day before our dad passed away from us, and he even joined in with the last verse or two.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
We read this to my husband's grandfather before he passed away in 1989, too. We were in town for Thanksgiving and thankfully were able to visit him one last time.
